Onchain crypto payments

Pay for tickets onchain using your self custodial wallet, even when logged in to your Blocklive account.

1. Open your user account in the sidebar by clicking your profile in the top right of the navigation bar (e.g. "[e-mail]). Find your main driver wallet (e.g MetaMask) from the options available or click 'Connect' and sign a free transaction to connect to the site.

Your user account and associated wallet addresses can be found in the sidebar.

1. Now an active payment wallet should be present. The connected wallet must be on the same chain as the event and have enough balance to pay for both the ticket and gas onchain. Most tickets will be priced onchain in a stablecoin such as USDC and require gas payment native currency such as ETH or MATIC.

You can see the type of connected extension and current active chain in the 'Active wallet' section in the sidebar.

1. During checkout select the "Pay with crypto" option and sign the relevant permissions and transactions in your wallet extension to mint your NFT ticket. To troubleshoot any failed mints, make sure you have enough gas in you wallet to cover the cost of the transaction.

Payment wallets can be connected at checkout or will populate automatically from the user account.

For convenience and ease of use, tickets will be delivered by default to a custodial Blocklive wallet created with your email address or Google and Apple oAuth credentials. If you'd like your tickets to be delivered to a self custodial address instead, that destination wallet will first need to be linked to your Blocklive account: Linking a wallet for rewards
